The Administrative Body
The Administrative Body of the Association
Firstly: The Administrative Body consists of seven main members and two reserve members elected by the General Assembly for a three-year term through secret ballot.
Secondly: The members of the Administrative Body elect from among themselves the President of the Association, the Vice President, the Financial Secretary, and the Secretary.
Thirdly: The Administrative Body holds a meeting at least once a month, convened by its President or a delegated authority, or upon the request of the majority of the Administrative Body members.
Fourthly: A quorum is reached with the presence of the majority of the Administrative Body members, and decisions are made by a majority of the votes of the present members. In the event of a tie, the side on which the President voted prevails.
Fifthly: Minutes of the Administrative Body meetings are sent to the Supreme Council of Scientific Associations for opinions if required.
Sixthly: The Administrative Body performs the following tasks:
- Preparing the annual work plan.
- Preparing the annual budget and the annual report on the financial and administrative activity of the Association.
- Approving participation in scientific conferences inside and outside Iraq.
- Approving the holding of scientific conferences inside and outside Iraq in cooperation with institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and scientific associations.
- Approving the opening of branches of the Association in provinces and forming units and committees within its field of expertise.
- Deciding on membership acceptance, termination, and resignation cases.
